Ex Nihilo: Out of Nothing

Before the beginning, before the Dark, before the Flame sparked, you have been told of a place once known as Shadow. A realm where everything imaginable existed all at once, stretched out like a tapestry on a loom before a  King, and that at both ends were powers which shaped all of reality. Their light shone across this Shadow, the facets of their jewels writing its very fabric.

Through fate and time this tapestry was torn, and the children of the two kingdoms fought to save the tapestry of Shadow, but through clumsy and flawed hands the tapestry unraveled, bringing the Storm. The Storm took everything in the end, everything fell to the Dark.

However, strands of the tapestry survived, some of the princes of the jeweled kingdom persevered, and your father Prince Brand survived. He had hidden the great jewel of the Pattern within him as he fell to the Dark, and with it he wished a dream of a kingdom reborn, the kingdom he had longed for all of his life. The jewel brought forth the Flame, in which all else has been born from. You are the children of his great work.
